Miami, June 10, 2026 – State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle Guns Violence Initiative (GVI) Unit in coordination with the Miami Gardens Police Department, announce the arrests of Anthony Enrique Gordon DOB 09/17/1975 and Danette Larae Young DOB 05/25/1968, following an in-depth investigation into an alleged home invasion robbery.
On June 9, 2026, The State Attorney’s GVI Unit and the Miami Gardens Police Department were investigating a homicide that occurred during a reported home invasion robbery at the residence of Gordon and Young. Although the defendants initially reported themselves as victims in the incident, investigators executed a search warrant at the home as part of the homicide investigation. Inside the home, investigators discovered 42 kilograms of narcotics, including cocaine, MDMA, Xanax, and marijuana, as well as nearly $1.3 million in cash and multiple types of ammunition. This discovery marks the largest drug seizure in Miami Gardens Police Department history.

• Possession of Controlled Substances Without a Prescription
• Dealing in Stolen Property
• Firearm, Weapon, and Ammunition Possession of a Convicted Felon
Danette Larae Young is charged with:
• Cocaine Trafficking
• Cannabis Trafficking (Armed)
• Oxycodone Trafficking (Armed)
• Amphetamine Trafficking
• Fentanyl Trafficking
• Illegal Drug Trafficking
• Possession of Controlled Substances Without a Prescription
• Dealing in Stolen Property
“Today’s arrests highlight the critical work of our Gun Violence Initiative Unit and our ongoing partnership with the Miami Gardens Police Department,” said State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. “What began as a home invasion robbery investigation quickly revealed a major narcotics operation hidden in plain sight. This record setting seizure sends a clear message: drug trafficking will not be tolerated in our community.”
