State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle created the Office of Public Information to keep the community informed.  Our Public Information Office (PIO) is charged with sharing the State Attorney’s message of Smart Justice to keep the community aware of Miami SAO’s initiatives and efforts to keep Miami-Dade County safe. We do this through traditional media outlets (television, radio and newspapers), as well as through our social media platforms. The PIO Office produces our own content in order to directly communicate with our community regarding issues that are important for their safety and well-being. Our PIO office is the State Attorney’s Office official information resource center.

The Public Information Office is responsible for the following communications:

• Hosting press conferences;
• Developing and distributing press releases about Miami SAO activities, programs, and news to media;
• Responding to all media inquiries regarding the State Attorney’s Office and office initiatives;
• Producing and disseminating the State Attorney’s Public Service Announcements;
• Crafting and releasing the SAO newsletter;
• Maintaining and managing the Office’s social media platforms; and
• Creating and distributing promotional materials for Miami SAO departments, units, and initiatives
