Today, Alejandro Diaz Torriente was sentenced to 20-years in prison followed by 10 years of probation after being found guilty of the financial exploitation 94-year-old woman. This case sends a clear message to those who seek to leave our elders destitute and discarded that we will not tolerate this type of heartless crime
against our vulnerable residents.

I congratulate the work of our dedicated Elder and Vulnerable Adult (EVA) Task Force especially Assistant State Attorney Sara Imm for her fine work on bringing this case to its proper conclusion.
