Cyber Crimes Unit

Our innovative Cyber Crimes Unit (CCU) was Florida’s first local prosecutorial unit dedicated to investigating and prosecuting cybercrimes. The Unit is staffed with Assistant State Attorneys who litigate complex felony crimes that happen over the internet or involve substantial digital evidence. The unit also supports the entire State Attorney’s Office by helping to obtain, evaluate, and incorporate digital evidence in other cases. CCU supports Miami-Dade County-based law enforcement agencies in obtaining warrants and subpoenas for all types of crimes.

In addition to working with all Miami-area police departments, our nationally renowned Cyber Crimes Unit has also worked with the following agencies to bring criminals to justice:

CCU remains committed to empowering our community by offering training and awareness workshops to equip residents and organizations with insights to protect themselves from cybercriminals. The Unit has created customized training programs for the following organizations:
