Recruitment Coordinator – Recruitment and Retention Unit (Prosecution Support Specialist I)

Position Overview 

This position supports the Director of Recruitment and Retention. The individual selected will assist in managing the coordination, recruitment and onboarding of future Assistant State Attorneys as well as law school and other interns.  Responsibilities include contact with potential candidates, coordinating and confirming interview schedules, preparing interview packets, managing the tracking of applicants and related post-interview follow-up. Further responsibilities include helping to develop strategies to increase successful recruitment, coordinating recruitment travel and communicating with applicants. This individual must be positive and self-motivated with a desire and skill set to manage change efforts and quality improvement. The work schedule for this position is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position offers a Limited Flexible Work Schedule and Teleworking Option.

 

The Job Responsibilities are:

  • Posting positions for Assistant State Attorneys, Interns, and others as directed, through the use of various job posting systems (Simplicity, 12twenty, etc.), law school recruitment portals and on-campus interview portals
  • Tracking and conducting analytics on posting, hiring and separation trends
  • Processing applicants for Certified Legal Internships and aid in the necessary steps to obtain their credentials
  • Coordinating with the Director of Recruitment and Retention and the Chief Assistant State Attorney for posting of positions, as well as documenting when positions are filled and closed
  • Tracking the application through hiring status for each open position, scheduling interviews, preparing necessary paperwork, and communicating with the administrative team
  • Conducting preliminary reviews of applications to evaluate qualifications or initial eligibility of applicants
  • Managing recordkeeping related to hiring, onboarding, training, certification and swearing in of Assistant State Attorneys
  • Helping create and maintain Recruitment Platforms with universities nationally
  • Actively researching and identify job fair opportunities at universities, law schools, as well as in the community; register, and collect outcome data from these events for ongoing improvement
  • Assisting with more complex assignments and/or special projects
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

 

 The Minimum Requirements are:

  • Preference may be given to those applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or related field
  • Related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college training or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • General Knowledge of the State Attorney’s Office and or the Criminal Justice System

Yearly Salary Range:  $36,000.00 – $58,092.00 – Salary to commensurate with experience.
