Economic Indicators

Research information provided by Miami Matters and based on data from the American Community Survey, show significant disparities on several key economic measures. For example, non-Hispanic Whites earn more than twice as much as Hispanics and almost triple as much as Blacks or African Americans on a per capita basis. The percentage of Black or African American and Hispanic children living in poverty is about three-and-a-half (39.1%) and two times (22.9%) as high as it is for non-Hispanic White children (11.2%).
