Statement from State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle Regarding the Murder of Two Israeli Embassy Employees

“The cold-blooded murder of two young Israeli Embassy employees in Washington D.C. is a horrific example of hate expressed as dangerous action. Those who would champion hate seem to revel in the pain hate creates. Hate, in any form, can have no place in any self-respecting society or community. My prayers and condolences go out to the families and colleagues of these young victims.

The people of Miami-Dade County should know that I, my prosecutors, and all our law enforcement partners, including the FBI, will thoroughly investigate any reported incident of anti-Semitic hate to uncover any evidence that may lead to a prosecutable crime. Messages of hate, discrimination and prejudice should never be allowed to stand.”
