TITLE: Assistant State Attorney – Legal Division
Position Overview:
The Legal Division of the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office provides pretrial and trial support for the assistants.
The Job Responsibilities are:
Duties include researching and being able to orally provide legal support for assistants in court as well as writing motions on investigative, pretrial and trial issues; handling post-conviction motions; researching, writing and arguing appellate briefs and petitions; and attending trials of complex cases.
The Minimum Requirements are:
Minimum 5 years of extensive criminal experience required, with appellate experience preferred as excellent writing skills are necessary. Membership in the Florida Bar is also required.
Starting Annual Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience. The full package of State benefits accompanies this position.
