Legal Assistant III – Public Corruption/Special Prosecution Intake Units

                      1350 N.W. 12th Avenue
                      Miami, Florida 33136

 

Position Overview:

The Legal Assistant III in the Public Corruption /Special Prosecution Intake units will handle complex, sensitive, and confidential assignments and will work closely with Public Corruption attorneys, SAO Investigators, and task force officers. This position is responsible for working on investigations from the initial intake report through the investigative process, and the final disposition of the case as well as filed cases. The work schedule for this position is 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.

 

The Job Responsibilities are:

  • Coordinating witnesses for investigations and filed cases, preparing travel arrangements, support during active trial
  • Preparing and processing daily calendars, correspondence, motions, subpoenas, and notices
  • Screening phone calls, processing mail, and v-case doc manager
  • Maintaining calendar of appointments, processing Pre-file conferences, depositions & hearings
  • Preparing and maintaining virtual files on filed and investigation cases
  • Assisting Attorneys and Investigators with various requests
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

 

 

The Minimum Requirements are:

  • Two (2) years of secretarial and/or general clerical experience
  • Having received an overall “exceeds standard” or “outstanding” rating on the last performance evaluation
  • Having successfully completed probationary/review period in order to apply

 

The Preferred Qualifications and Skills are:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Having excellent attendance and having been in current position for at least one year

Starting Annual Salary: $38,076.12
*Note: Please be advised the starting salary for this position is non-negotiable.
