Legal Assistant III – Training and Recruitment Assistant

Position Overview

This individual will support and assist the Director of ASA Training managing new ASA training classes, ensuring training conference rooms are reserved and prepped, assisting with coordination of ongoing training for interns and ASAs and coordinating tour groups and guest speaker events. This position will also work closely with the Recruitment and Retention Unit in the coordination and recruitment of potential Assistant State Attorneys and law school and college interns in addition to assisting with recruitment paperwork such as applications, applicant notifications, and data entry. This individual must be self-motivated and able to maintain and adhere to scheduled events. The work schedule for this position is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

The Job Responsibilities are:

  • Coordinating training classes for Assistant State Attorneys and interns, including calendaring and assisting with amended requests.
  • Facilitating group tours, scheduling guest speakers and ensuring training rooms are prepped for incoming classes.
  • Assisting with recordkeeping related to hiring, onboarding, training, certification and swearing in of Assistant State Attorneys.
  • Supporting the Recruitment and Retention Unit
  • Data entry onto in-house management programs
  • Documenting actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, scanning onboarding documents and tour waiver forms
  • Assisting with assignments and/or special projects
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

 

The Minimum Requirements are:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Two (2) years of secretarial and/or general clerical experience

 

The Preferred Qualifications and Skills are: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets

Starting Annual Salary: $36,544.56
*Note: Please be advised the starting salary for this position is non-negotiable.
