TITLE:  Assistant State Attorney – Child Support Program

Position Overview:

Are you a Florida Bar member looking for a career in public service? Are you interested in making a positive impact in the lives of the children in our community?

The State Attorney’s Office is looking for Florida Bar members with a demonstrated interest or experience in family law to join our Child Support Program.  Child Support Program attorneys handle a caseload with exposure to many aspects of civil and family litigation including basic and complex issues relating to paternity, support, enforcement, modifications, interstate cases, and other related child support issues. Duties include drafting pleadings and other legal documents, case preparation and court presentation before General Magistrates, Hearing Officers, and Judges.  This position is well-suited for attorneys looking to become litigators or expand their litigation experience in the areas of civil and family law.  Pay is commensurate with experience.

Entry level Child Support Program attorneys receive extensive training in family law statutes, family law caselaw, civil and family law rules of procedure, drafting pleadings, trial preparation, as well as litigation skills and techniques. Entry level salary is $94,088 per year.
