TITLE:  Assistant State Attorney – Child Support Program

Position Overview:

Entry level position for Florida Bar members with no experience who have demonstrated an interest in family law through coursework and/or internships.

Assistant State Attorneys (ASAs) handle a large volume caseload with emphasis on many aspects of civil litigation including basic and complex issues relating to paternity, support, enforcement, modifications, UIFSA cases and other related child support issues.

The Job Responsibilities are: 

Duties include drafting pleadings and other legal documents, case preparation and court presentation before General Magistrates, Hearing Officers, and Judges. Training on and operation of the Child Support Automated Management System (CAMS) is a required component of the job function.

The Minimum Requirements are:

Preference may be given to Florida Bar members with a minimum of one year of family law experience.

Starting Annual Salary: Salary will be $60,000. The full package of State benefits accompanies this position.
