INTAKE CLERK II
- Fiscal Division OPS (temporary position) Child Support Enforcement Average Hourly Range $ 9.34 - $10.74 An immediate OPS position is available for an Intake Clerk II in the Fiscal Division- Child Support Enforcement payroll. Duties include: maintaining all vendor and paid invoice files and logs; reconciling vendor statements; copying invoices and other documentation required by the Comptroller; verifying, copying and mailing payment warrants to vendors; dating and distributing incoming mail; monitoring open purchase order balances; entering GSA supply requests in the County system; entering new property in CSE inventory system; processing Long Arm checks and maintaining the check ledger. Other clerical bookkeeping duties include updating the notary public expiration spreadsheet, issuing and logging Federal Express requisition numbers, processing County check transfers and preparing annual archive boxes. Candidate must be an organized, energetic self-starter with excellent follow up skills. Candidate must also be able to work effectively with stringent time constraints. This position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, and at least two (2) years of clerical accounting experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Candidate must be familiar with PC programs such as Word and Excel. This is a temporary position that does not offer insurance or vacation benefits. Both internal and external candidates will be considered for this position LEGAL SECRETARY I Annual Salary: $23,221.08 This is a full-time position in our Felony Division that involves complex and confidential secretarial work. Duties include processing felony cases; preparing subpoenas; drafting correspondence, motions, and orders; filing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail; and preparing court calendars. Additional duties include screening calls, data entry and extensive contact with the public. Candidate must possess good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Candidate must also be detail-oriented, and be able to work effectively under pressure. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or its equivalent, and two years clerical experience – customer service experience preferred. Minimum typing requirement is 25 accurate words per minute. CLERICAL TEST REQUIRED
INTAKE CLERK II - Case Screening – Midnight Shift Felony Screening Unit - Circuit Court Legal Division Annual Salary: $23,221.08 Immediate midnight shift position available for an Intake Clerk II in the FSU - Case Screening Unit. The midnight position requires working the night shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with scheduled days off rotating on a monthly basis. In addition, candidates must be able to work weekends and some holidays. A benefit of this position is that the rotation schedule results in a 4-day weekend every other month! Nightshift duties include a high volume of research and data entry and extensive telephone interaction with police officers. Candidates must also be self-reliant and able to identify, analyze and solve problems independently. In addition, candidates must be very detailed oriented and able to meet daily deadlines. Candidate must be detailed-oriented and be able to work independently. Candidates must be team oriented and be able to work rotating weekends and holidays. Candidate must have a minimum of three-years of clerical experience and type approximately 25 accurate words per minute. CLERICAL TEST REQUIRED. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED LIBRARIAN - Circuit Court Legal Division Annual Salary: $35,015.16 An immediate position is available for a Law Librarian in the Graham Building. This position is responsible for the overall management and direction of our main law library and several satellite libraries (a collection of approximately 10,000 books and periodicals, SAO training videos and expert witness materials), as well as our electronic research contract (Westlaw). Duties include full budget responsibility; collection development and maintenance (acquiring, cataloging, classifying, physically processing, and routing printed and non-printed materials); reference and research assistance (including outside libraries and electronic sources); ongoing distribution of books, periodicals, loose-leaf services, and electronic opinions. Compilation of statistics, data, project reports, and other information is expected. Candidate will be required to update the Criminal Justice Information System and prepare charge forms. Candidate should demonstrate strong commitment to library sciences and exceptional service orientation; must have legal research experience; and must possess extensive knowledge of legal materials and computer applications for law libraries. Candidate must work independently, effectively under pressure, and with all levels of staff; must be organized and detail-oriented. A Bachelor’s degree with related work experience as a law librarian is required. Related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college training or an equivalent combination of training and experience. An immediate opening is available for a Stenographer (Court Reporter/Hearings Reporter) located in the Special Prosecutions Unit. This position requires taking verbal dictation on a stenographic machine and producing printer transcripts of interviews, sworn statements and on a rare occasion, court hearings. The primary responsibilities include take testimony from witnesses, police officers and prisoners for our Assistant State Attorneys and producing printed transcripts. There will be situations when you accompany an Assistant State Attorney to a location outside the office. Candidate must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of professional responsibility. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Flexible schedule mandatory, with occasional overtime required. Preference may be give to candidates with prior experience with Case Catalyst software. Candidate must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, and must be able to take dictation at a rate of 180 words per minute. CLERICAL TEST AND DICTATION TEST REQUIRED.
