. MIAMI-DADE STATE ATTORNEY'S MESSAGE

Dear Law Student:
This office provides an exciting setting in which new lawyers can gain substantial trial experience from the outset of their employment while developing their skills in a professional and compassionate manner. The professional experiences of each attorney are further developed by our comprehensive training program which aids both our new and our experienced lawyers.

A prosecutor's role in the criminal justice system is to assist in the protection of the community. This requires the ability and competence to convict those guilty of a criminal offense and a sensitivity and concern for the rights of the individual and the innocent.

I am very proud of this office's prosecution record and of our development of such innovative programs as the Domestic Court, the Drug Court and the Children's Center.

Our well diversified legal staff is comprised of excellent lawyers who have graduated from law schools throughout the country. Our work force of over 300 lawyers and approximately 900 support staff functions in a cohesive and cooperative manner creating the prosecutorial team needed by a vibrant community like Miami-Dade County.

I hope you will learn more about our office and interview with us. I am sure you will find a career as a prosecutor as challenging and rewarding as I have.

Sincerely,

siganture
Katherine Fernandez Rundle
